Shane Lowney was born and raised in Tampa, Florida and lives there now with his wife, Christine. He works as a mechanical engineer for a local factory, helping to manage their heavy machinery by ensuring that it is properly operated, up-to-date, and in good repair. He also designs mechanisms for other companies to use in their own operations. He loves Tampa and, unlike many other proud residents of other towns around the United States, wants others to move to his town to see what life is like there. Shane Lowney of Tampa, Florida in the United States is a native son.  Born and raised in Tampa, Lowney is a true Son of the South, loyal to his native city and anxious to give back to the community which has warmed his body and life for all 34 years of it.  Lowney loves flying, with a pilot’s license to operate his Cessna 182, and rock climbing and divining the mysteries of a working engine, which gave rise to Lowney leaving Tampa for the only time in his life, to attend the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida to earn his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.  Upon completion, Lowney returned to Tampa to pursue his career, with a new wife in tow, Christine. The dream to fly is often shared by many as children.  While the dream may evolve a little bit to something more attainable sometimes this dream also continues into adulthood.  This was certainly the case for Shane Lowney – a Tampa, Florida Mechanical Engineer. From a young age Shane knew he wanted to be in the sky.  He would spend countless hours daydreaming about not only flying but building an airplane of his own.  These dreams along with growing up the son of an Engineer are what attracted Shane to the idea of becoming involved in both piloting and Mechanical Engineering.
